MCWTThe Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation is making a concentrated effort to grow membership in West Michigan.  Although their roots are in the Eastside of the State, local IT professionals are working with the Foundation to grow membership locally. i3's Kathy Labozzetta is one member who is proactively assisting with this goal.  i3 Business Solutions believes it is important to encourage girls to pursue technology careers and support women in such careers.

As an organization, MCWT works to broadly reach young girls to introduce them to a technology related career. MCWT’s vision is for Michigan to become the number 1 state for women in technology. To make this vision a reality, MCWT offers scholarships,  summer tech camps, high school clubs, grants for robotics competitions, and an annual Website Design Competition.

Men, passionate about MCWT's vision, are equally welcomed as members. As it is advantageous, as a business, to have a diverse workforce to fuel innovation and competitiveness.

Take part in MCWT’s impact in West Michigan and register today for their upcoming event! MCWT ConnectNet Social is an event focused at driving membership within the West Michigan region and will be held at Open Systems Technologies on November 4th.
