Due to Equifax and other very public security breaches, you’re aware that cyber-security is a major business risk.

Over the weekend a WiFi WPA and WPA2 vulnerability has been exposed.

Please know that your i3 ReliabilITy R3 team is aware and is on task patching and securing these exposures.

While the vulnerability requires a hacker to have high-level knowledge, it is unlikely to cause harm to your company, but it is still a real threat. This recent threat that emerged has been across several wireless vendors and equipment manufacturers.

If you are protected by i3 Reliability services, these operating system patches are already installed or scheduled to be installed the next time your device comes online. This does not negate the need to update your wireless infrastructure with the latest security patches to protect all device types. Your WatchGuard access points will be patched as soon as soon as the patches are available. These patches are expected to be released on Monday, October 30th, 2017. If they are released sooner, we will patch them ASAP.

So what does this mean to you? Since you have i3’s managed WatchGuard AP’s, we’ve got you covered so you can focus on your core business. In the meantime, while your AP’s are not patched, please try to connect to your company network with an Ethernet cord, wherever possible, to minimize your risk.
