Certainly, due to Equifax and other very public security breaches, you’re aware that cyber-security is a major business risk.

Over the weekend a WiFi WPA and WPA2 vulnerability has been exposed.

Please know that your i3 ReliabilITy R3 team is aware and is on task patching and securing these exposures.

While the vulnerability requires a hacker to have high-level knowledge, it is unlikely to cause harm to your company, but it is still a real threat. This recent threat that emerged has been across several wireless vendors and equipment manufacturers.

If you are protected by i3 Reliability services, these operating system patches are already installed or scheduled to be installed the next time your device comes online. This does not negate the need to update your wireless infrastructure with the latest security patches to protect all device types.

Your agreement does not cover updating your AP’s to the latest firmware. The patch for your APs are expected to be released on Monday, October 30th, 2017. Please let us know if you would like us to patch your access points when the patch is available, but be aware the work is going to be outside your agreement. We expect the work would take less than 30 minutes to complete.
