Looking for a great digital note taking app? Try Microsoft One Note. The app is available for all O365 users as both a personal and business productivity toolset.


Here are some simple, Top Ten tips on how it’s used and how to get started:

  1. Start with One Notebook – it will help you get organized to share notes with others via their PC, tablet device or phone
  2. Users don’t have to be using One Note today to share your notes with you
  3. Other Notebooks can and will be created over time once you “get the hang of it” (family, projects, teams at work)
  4. Once a Notebook is created, create sections (like tabs in your notebook) for categories (like people that report to you in a team)
  5. Each category can be secured with a password so only those authorized can see or share your private notes and conversations
  6. Next create pages (for an example – new pages for each new meeting date) to easily organize discussions (by date)
  7. You can take notes anywhere on page
  8. You can insert files, pdf attachments, pictures, to do lists and action items (other objects related to your project or discussion) on your Notebook page
  9. Search functions are available for “keyword” access across Notebook content
  10. And, last but not least, Sync your Notebook to One Drive for Cloud Storage
